PT 297 R1 - Portable casket

The device provides a safe and simple method of manipulation with a syringe containing radioctive solution. It enables to handle a filled syringe covered by a mounted needle or a stopper. Fixation of needle or stopper in the lower part of the casket being provided by a screw. The design of both a handpiece and a lower part of the casket enables to set up the device into a slanted position which is favourable by reason of further manipulation with the syringe.

Brief Description of the Device, Basic Specifications

Main components of the device:

  • Lower part – carrying part with handpiece, stainless steel cover with shielding layers of aluminium alloy and lead. Lower part has a fixation screw to maintain the position of the upper part during handling.
  • Upper part in a shape of a hollow cylinder, the function of which is to shield the syringe containing radioactive solution. Shiel ding layers are 5mm Al and 5mm Pb.
