Device Design, Purpose & Usage

The device provides a safe and simple method of connecting and disconnecting a needle to/from the syringe containing a radioactive solution dose.

Its purpose is to reduce the risk of exposure and contamination of employees handling radioactive solutions. It facilitates maintaining aseptic conditions when handling a radioactive solution dose.

The device is built as a simple aluminium stand having a specially designed needle sheath seat that enables both connecting the needle to the syringe and disconnecting either the needle itself before locating the syringe into the Automatic administering stand PT353R1 or just its sheath before administration the dose manually.

The device should not serve for the short-term storage of the tungsten Syringe shielding PT358R0 containing a syringe with a needle in its sheath and containing a radioactive solution dose.
